The SF LGBT Center’s annual Soirée is back on April 19, 2025, at City View at Metreon! Join us for a triumphant evening celebrating the Center’s 23 years of service to our LGBTQ+ community. This year’s Soirée will feature a dinner program followed by a vibrant after-party, with live music, dazzling performances, dancing, locally-sourced food, an open bar, and a lively auction. It’s also an opportunity to invest in the Center’s services that help thousands of community members thrive.

The National Trans HIV Testing Day event at Trans:Thrive will include a guest speaker panel, performances, raffles, catered lunch, and (of course) free rapid HIV/Hep-C/Syphilis testing on-site for attendees.

This event will celebrate both the strenuous strides our communities have made-and will continue to take-in this country despite systemic barriers to medical care, treatment and prevention, gender-affirming services, and other areas that impact our ability to thrive.

Step Back in Time to the Glittering Era of Disco!

Get ready to party like it’s Studio 54 at our disco-themed party on March 14th, from 7-10pm! This unforgettable night will feature a Best Dress disco costume contest, and a celebration of the legendary Sylvester, the Queen of Disco.

You are invited to San Francisco Public Works’ Arbor Day Fair!

Bring your friends and family for a few hours of fun, hands-on activities, and info booths on urban environmental education. This event is rain-or-shine.

Come join us Wednesday, February 19th, 2025 from 3-6PM PST at The Transgender District office to learn about the process to legally change your name and gender across the board and help complete paperwork. We will have attorneys present to help answer any questions or help special cases.

Attendees will learn how to correctly complete courthouse paperwork and walk through the order here in California.

Attendees will also receive all necessary paperwork to complete the overall process and have the opportunity to ask questions in this space.

“We Both Laughed in Pleasure” by Kit Robbins and Alma Landeta.

Presented by Jonathan Carver Moore & The Transgender District, “We Both Laughed in Pleasure” is an intimate series capturing moments of tenderness and vulnerability, giving viewers a glimpse into the nuances of trans love and connection. The title for this series is lovingly borrowed from the selected diaries of Lou Sullivan. Sullivan was one of the first transgender men to publicly identify as gay, and through his writings and activism, he helped shape our understanding of sexual orientation and gender identity as distinctly different. The artists read Sullivan’s diaries to one another, and they found his words to be affirming.

With this body of work Kit Robbins and Alma Landeta bring their personal experiences and perspectives to this dialogue, celebrating the beauty and complexity inherent in trans connections. Their artworks explore themes of mutual understanding, shared identity, and the journey towards self-acceptance within the context of their T4T partnership.
